Urban Krav Maga saves a commuter

some details below of an incident dealt with by one of our students

I got off the train at XXXXX station and everyone was filing across the bridge to get to the other platform.
As I was just getting on the bridge two twats pushed into a commuter next to me. He took exception to this and told them, then there was lots of verbal and to be honest the commuter did not do himself any favours, he should of just ignored the pair of pricks and carried on. I thought i would just tail off so did not get involved at that stage.

As we came down the other side of the bridge, there was a bit of pushing etc and then it kicked off between one of the guys and the commuter.

Again, neither of them knew how to fight. I was not going to separate them, then the other guy who was standing next to me, ran forward to join in, that is when I thought it could get more serious as you would have a two on one and the commuter bloke would not stand a chance.

So I ran up behind the other guy and shot my left arm over his shoulder (I think I was originally going to to do a figure 4 choke but for some reason decided against it). So I ended up doing a single arm choke restraint and grabbed hold of his right arm and pulled it tight across me as said something like "Don't bother mate".

The really strange thing is that the guy completely froze did not say anything, when it had all calmed down a bit I pushed him away and he walked off and did not even look back at me.
Nice part of it all was that other commuters thanked me for it (the station was packed), apparently they had been causing problems on the train.

The commuter guy never even knew that I got involved (too much adrenaline I reckon). I did think afterwards it could have been a bit dodgy with so many people, pushing and a train track!

I have seen the two twats on the train before, they think they are the dog bollocks and have really sharp suits on and speak all "gangster", so I would have loved to smash them but the situation did not warrant it!

Nice restraint from our guy, did just what was needed and no more and the situation was resolved, despite the temptation to turn it up a bit more- well done fella.
